Ella at 7 Months

Age:  7 months

Weight:   16 lbs 6oz (47th%) at your Drs. appointment on January 3rd.

Height:  27.5 inches (90th %)

Head:   42.5 cm (48th %)

Milestones: This past month you have gone through tons of changes.  On December 16th we started you on pureed food, you had sweet potatoes and loved them. So far you have eaten sweet potatoes, peas, pears, bananas, apples, and squash.  We have found that there are some foods you like better homemade and others you like better store bought. Overall you have been a good eater, eating everything we have given to you.  You rolled over from back to stomach for the first time on December 17th, since then you have been rolling to get around.  Around January 9th you started getting your knees under your bottom, that then turned into rocking back and forth on your hands and knees. Shortly there after you started "army crawling" everywhere, we no longer can leave you unattended. Your favorite items to get are Mommy and Daddys shoes, your diapers and the cats.  You have now switched from sleeping on your side to sleeping on your stomach, you seem to sleep a little better since that switch.  You are now throwing fits when Mommy has to change your diaper in the middle of the night.

Best Moment:  Seeing all the changes you have gone through this past month, you are growing so fast.

Worst Moment:  When you fell out of your swing, Mommy felt so bad.  Also on January 29th you didn't fall asleep until 1am.  You had a fever during the day and was a little cranky during the day.  When bed time came around you didn't want to sleep and would wake crying every 20 minutes. Finally around 1 am Mommy decided to have you sleep on her in the recliner. We slept that way for a couple hours, then Mommy put you back into your crib, you slept there for a couple hours then it was back to the recliner for the rest of the night.

Hair: Your hair is getting a little longer and thicker in places, you still have a bald patch on the back of your head.

Eye Color:  Your eye color looks like brownish/greenish color.

Who you look like: 100% Daddy, with Mommys eye color.

Clothes:  You wear 6-9, 9, and some 12  month clothes.  The 6-9 month clothes are getting a little short but still fit.

Sleeping Through the Night: Nope.  You wake up usually  two to three  times during the night.  Usually you wake around 12:00 ish am, 4:00 ish am, 6:00 ish am, and finally waking up for the day around  8:00 - 9:00am.

Schedule: You go to bed any where from 7:30 pm to 8:30pm.   You wake up around  8:00 am to 9:00 am, just depends on the day and what time you went to bed the night before. You are finally back to napping in your crib, Mommy gets you to take two naps a day.

Eating:  During the day you like to eat every couple of hours.  We now feed you oatmeal in the morning and pureed food at night which you really enjoy.

Teeth: Not yet, thank goodness.

Diapers: Size 3 of Earth's Best diaper.

Travel: We went to Ohio for your first Christmas, you really enjoyed the wrapping paper on your gifts. Nana and granddad visited after Christmas so we could celebrate with them.

Biggest Change:  How well you move around to get the things you want.

Extra Comments:  You now let women hold you but men are still scary.  We have really enjoyed seeing how you have grown and all the changes you have gone threw.

Ella at 6 Months

Age:  6 months

Weight:   16 lbs 6oz (47th%) at your Drs. appointment on January 3rd.

Height:  27.5 inches (90th %)

Head:   42.5 cm (48th %)

Milestones: On November 23rd you stood against Nanas and Granddads coffee table, I was in the shower but Daddy got a picture of it.  You had your first taste of oatmeal on November 26th and loved it, we had to start feeding it to you while we ate dinner because you were getting made that we were eating and you weren't.

Best Moment:  Daddy seeing you stand all on your own, well with a little help from the coffee table.

Worst Moment:  No longer wanting to go to "strangers" aka family you haven't seen in a while.

Hair: Your hair is getting a little longer and thicker in places, but you still have some bare patches from rubbing your hair off.  It is a light brown color now, but think it will darken up once you have more of it.

Eye Color:  They are still changing color, turing a brownish color we think.

Who you look like: 100% Daddy

Clothes:  You are wearing very few 3-6 month sizes, fitting only if they are big.  You mainly wear 6-9 or 9  month clothes and are filling them out much better.

Sleeping Through the Night: Nope.  You wake up usually  three to four or more times during the night.  Usually when we first put you to bed then around 12:00 am, 4:00 am, 6:00 am, and finally waking up for the day around  8:00 - 9:00am.

Schedule: You go to bed any where from 7:30 pm to 9:00pm.   You wake up around  8:00 am to 9:00 am, just depends on the day and what time you went to bed the night before. You are still not a napper, Mommy can get you to take one or two naps but you want to sleep on Mommy and not in your crib.

Eating:  During the day you like to eat every couple of hours.  We now feed you oatmeal at night which you really enjoy.

Teeth: Not yet, thank goodness.

Diapers: Size 3 of Earth's Best diaper.

Travel: We went to Iowa for Thanksgiving.  We also went to the Lincoln Museum in Springfield on December 5th.

Biggest Change:  How you are watching things more carefully now.

Extra Comments:  You now enjoy watching Nala and Meeko roam around the house.  You sat on Santa's lap when your grandparents where here and didn't cry. On December first we went to cut down your first Christmas tree, daddy did a good job cutting  :)
